It seemed like a good idea at the time. I saw a chance to turn around. If I hadn’t taken it then I would have to keep driving for another 5 miles before I could turn around. It was one of those breaks in the highway that I could turn in. It was the middle of the night. I turned into the break and nearly hit a cop! yeah I know that’s not legal but I didn’t expect a cop to be sitting there.

So I had to go to court and get this all straightened out. When I told the judge my story and the cop told the judge her story, the judge just laughed at me. He didn’t feel sorry for me at all. He just thought it was funny then slammed his hammer down and gave me my fine. Heartless.

This economy is making life harder.  But my husband and I are learning new ways to manage difficulties and we want to share it with others.

First, life is really tough when you face an emergency but you have bad credit and no extra cash. A couple months ago for us it was a broken refrigerator.  We called a repairman, but he said the cost would be around $500.  A new one might cost $400.  But even that was not something we had spare cash for.
