I’ve had my doggy since I was a little girl. Me and Gruff(my dog) have been like, the closest of friends since he was a puppy. I just found out he was recently sick and that the only way for him to survive any longer would be through surgery. I didn’t have that kind of money just laying around. I called my parents back home, and they couldn’t spare the money. I asked a few other relatives, but nobody could afford it either. I didn’t know what to do. I was worried so much about losing him. He’d always been there for me, what would I do if I ever lost him?

My sister has been sick for a long time.  She has been battling a brain tumor for the last 20 years.  Up until recently doctors were successful in removing the tumor but they said if it ever came back, there would be nothing else they could do for her.  Well, sadly it came back and the family had some decisions to make.  After much careful thought we decided she would have to go into a nursing home.  The thought of this broke our hearts but it’s what needed to be done.  My sister was such a bright woman with a lot of dreams and now she will never have the chance to make those dreams come true. 

My family doesn’t have a lot of money.  We fall into the blue collar category which means we don’t have extra money sitting around for emergencies like this one.  We need to figure out how were going to finance this.  Everyone is really stressed out by the current events, especially my parents; they want the best for their sweet daughter.
