I went out with my family Tuesday. It was Mudpie restaurant, we were all going to order our favorite meals and then get some pies. But plans change. My son Conrad get very sick and I didn’t know what to do right off the bat. I mean those mud pies are really really delicious. I was wondering, should I stay and finish my mudpie or do I help Conrad. I thought, “geez, he’s a poor little nine year old. I got to help the kid right?”

I didn’t think he was that sick. I took him down to the Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga with my wife and our two other kids. He started whining like a little girl and I told him to shut his trap and man up or I’d make him. So I pulled over the car and waited a second. That’s when he started throwing up blood and I knew something wasn’t right. When we got to the hospital they told me he needed his appendix removed.

The insurance company refused to pay for the operation. They didn’t get it. THE KID WAS THROWING UP BLOOD. I screamed and hollered but in the end I lost.
